Head of Product at Memberful (a Patreon company)

I’m an experienced design and product leader who believes design can make a positive difference in people’s lives. Over the past 17 years, I’ve worked at startups, on a Presidential campaign, at agencies, and consulted with both non-profits and corporations. I love to collaborate and work cross-functionally to build products and teams that deliver value, and ultimately make an impact in the world.

Crowdpac was a leading independent political crowdfunding platform. We helped thousands of people run for office, from Library Board to City Council to President, and helped them raise millions of dollars while connecting with their community of supporters.

As the first design hire, I built our product design practice from scratch over the course of three years. I collaborated with engineers, product managers, and our founders to define our approach, understand our customers, and find product-market fit. Ultimately became the Head of Product and Design before leaving in 2018.

Prior to Crowdpac, I was a Senior Product Designer at Modest, an early-stage mobile commerce startup in Chicago later acquired by Paypal. I was responsible for the user experience of our native iOS and Android apps, new retailer onboarding, and store management tools.

As a design consultant, I've worked with great organizations like Change.org, Trunk Club, Hillary for America, Northwestern University, Planned Parenthood, and many more.

Prior to that, I was fortunate enough to have the experience of a lifetime, as Lead Interactive Designer for Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign. I designed social organizing platforms, fundraising tools, and data visualizations that were used by millions of people and raised millions of dollars. I was then named Design Director while the organization transitioned from a campaign into Organizing for Action.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside talented, generous people who are passionate about their work. I’ve seen the positive impact design can have under those circumstances.

I hope to work with mission-driven organizations to build teams that value design and offer the chance for continued personal growth. If that sounds like you, I would love to chat.
